this product uses the guilding technique of applying finely ground high carat gold - mercury amalgam to the object of bronze and objects finished in this way. The mercury. Is driven offf in a kiln leaving behind a gold coating. The French refer to this technique as bronze gore but in English its known as guilt bronze. This technique in the 19th century in account of its toxicity.
